Dutch Punch history


Dutch Punch festival 2005: As a part of the annual Window to the Netherlands festival, Stichting Kultprom organised in September 2005 a mini-festival called Dutch Punch; contributing musical performances of the Dutch bands De Kift, Zea and We vs Death, as well as a film program with experimental shortfilms and the documentary `Piter'. The core program was organised in St. Petersburg. Furthermore the bands did concerts in Moscow, Jaroslavl, Pskov and Nizhnyj Novgorod.


Dutch Punch festival 2006: From 7 to 11 of September the second edition of Dutch Punch festival with focus on Rotterdam took place in St.Petersburg, Moscow and Pskov. Participants  of the festival: bands  Rotterdam Ska Jazz Foundation, Elle Bandita, FFF, Feaverdream, short films from Rotterdam, Daniil Charms Film program.

The Dutch Punch festival was supported by the Consulate General of the Kingdom of The Netherlands in Saint Petersburg, NPI, FAPK.



Dutch Punch festival 2007

The participants are BLUES BROTHER CASTRO, AUX RAUS, THE LOW POINT DRAINS, DEFORMER, APPLEGARDEN, MALORIX, STOMA, JULES DEELDER.
The film program consisted of two FILMBANK programs of experimental film, a special program with films of Bas Jan Ader, Rosto AD‘s animation trilogy Mind My Gap and IMPAKT videoart program.
Photoexhibitions of Rotterdam based artists Daniel Baggerman and René Castelijn and exhibition of graphic works from Bruno Ferro Xavier da Silva (Antistrot art collective).




Dutch Punch festival 2008.

10th - 14th of September 2008 – DUTCH PUNCH-4 festival in St.Petersburg, Moscow, Pskov, Yaroslavl, Izhevsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Saratov, Kirov.
The participants : LUSHUS, RAASKALBOMFUKKERZ, MACHINEFABRIEK, NOBODY BEATS THE DRUM, YOB KISS, MEDIAONTWERPERS, ANTISTROT ART COLLECTIVE, the film program: short films from Filmbank collection, masters of experimental film Frans Zwartjes and Paul de Nooijer and new Dutch animation.


Dutch Punch 2009

10-13th of September 2009-  DUTCH PUNCH-5 festival in Kiev.
The participants : RAASKALBOMFUKKERZ, STOMA, MOIN NON PLUS, the film program: short films from Filmbank collection, masters of experimental film Frans Zwartjes and Paul de Nooijer and new Dutch animation.
